My friend is 26 and hasn't had a job in 6 years. He wants to get into OTR Trucking. Is there anyone that would hire him?
Help for a friend?

U.S.M.C. will be glad to help him find his calling
MidWest_MacDaddy, dca, ajohnson and 1 other person Thank this. -
Most companies that have their own cdl school won't touch him. Mayb his parents will pay for a 160 hr. cdl school, then a few companies will hire him, but his choices will be limited since he's not very motivated.
He can try these though:
Lobos Interstate Services
Carolina Logistics
If these don't work, then he should attend a cdl school. -
If he doesnt have an inherent motivation to work and make money. Which it doesnt seem that he does then driving for a living is not a good plan.

I just told him I'd post on here for him. What work history do most mega's want?

He hasn't had a job for 6 years? Has he ever worked? Because trucking is a massive amount of work that only a very special few can undertake happily. Most burnout within a couple years... and the way in which the mega-carriers are treating new drivers these days, with their criminally low mileage rate and terrible loads/routes, I'm not surprised.
Dye Guardian, 91B20H8 and AModelCat Thank this.
