Have been stranded down in FL for four days now..cannot even get my dispatch to answer my messages most of the time..am a new driver, just three months in, and unsure if there is a problem with a dispatcher that does not like me, just no work, or wonder if I should call dispatch instead of using quallcom? seems to me being stranded four days is a bit much? don;t want to get on anybodys bad side, because i have heard that pissing off a dispatcher is a stupid way to go, but do not know what to do right now????

Get on the phone!!!!!!! should have been on that darn thing the first day. way too easy to be ignored on the com. I'm not saying there is not a reason, might just be in a bad spot for loads. but stay on them. be a major pain in their prostior until they give you a load just to get you out of their hair. If they think your willing to sit, they'll let you.

I agree with 4015. You don't have to be obnoxious to them when you are on the phone. But for heaven sake, make the call!

Make the call. Its easy for them to forget about you if freight is slow and you don't make some noise. Florida has always been a bad place to reload out of if you have a drybox. A company I used to run for would deadhead us from Ft Myers to Valdosta Ga just to get a load going somewhere.
