    Either way you ain’t going to hurt it by driving with it engaged.

    You might have reduced the total miles the rear-end will live by some small amount. Learn your lesson, and don't keep doing it.

    This. Its internal parts are exactly the same as the other one.

    A Canadian forum member notedyears ago that he engages the power divider in October and disengaged in April. I run frequently between OKC and North Dakota. I often keep the power divider engaged at highway speeds for days at a time, in spite of the official warnings against doing so. When I drive a truck with full lockers I don't have them engaged in high range.

    There is likely no damage at all to your differentials. The greatest potential for damage will come if you attempt to engage or disengage during a spin out.

    I hate to be devil’s advocate, but this is coming from Freighliner Cascadia Driver’s Manual:

    IAD = interaxle differential
    • Engagement (of the IAD) can be at any speed.
    • Keep the IAD unlocked (off) for normal driving on roads where traction is good.
    • Using the IAD lock when wheels have good traction can harm the axle, wear the tires excessively, and increase fuel consumption.
    • To lock (use) the IAD, move the control valve to lock while maintaining vehicle speed. Let up momentarily on the accelerator to engage the diff lock.

    Cascadias are only driven 3 years and then either junked or sent to Mexico. You should be fine.
