Applying in person goes a long way. Especially if you go in looking professional and ready to get started.

Has a terminal in Michigan. It's dry van, so I'd put that one on a back burner and go for refrigerated company as a first choice. It's there if you need it though, as a second choice. You'll make a lot more money pulling reefers.

Midwest Direct Transport is up in Coopersville, I'm doing rather well there. DM me for their recruiting info. I have no idea what they're paying company drivers, tho. It's preferable if you have tanker endorsement, as well.

Well first off bloke I wish you well in the transport industry, but you have just learnt lesson number one in the trucking industry, never trust any promises transport companies make, if their promising the world, don't fall for it, rather talk to other drivers, this website is great as drivers can post whether or not a company is good or bad. It's like doing a pee pee into 70 mph winds and not expecting any blow back it just don't happen in the real world. Having said that there are some good companies out there, the hard part is finding them.

Any Michigan flatbed company not making you loads of money is clueless.

I’d go knock on the doors of Van Kampen and Van Eerden, both in GR. Both have some of the nicest equipment on the road.
