Well I'm graduating from a 320hr course at McFatter Technical in Davie, Florida Broward Public School on March 6th and I've had my Class A(hazmat,tanker,doubles/triples) since September. I applied at Schneider and gave them a call. Recruiter told me that had to wait for me to graduate and then we could do the interview. Right now I'm living in South Florida and relocating to the Savannah, Ga area as soon as I get a job there. I told her this and she said ok, I can get the license once the interview is done. Now I get an email telling me unfortunetly because I'm not in the area where I applied I will have to look for a position in my zip code. Anyone ever been in this position? Is it maybe just a default email I got back from someone else or is she just giving me bs? I'm 22, clean record. By the way, I applied on Monday night, called yesterday and graduate this coming Tuesday.
Help? I'm in the wrong zip code but moving. Schneider

Sounds like a bureaucratic mix up. Why not get back on the phone?
Worst case, get the job in FL, transfer up to GA later. You'll just be out the extra CDL fee. -
That's what I'm thinking it is, which is why I'm going to disregard it and call her for the interview like we had agreed on Wednesday once I receive my certificate. I don't want to keep bothering the lady if we already agreed on something. Unfortunetly, there isn't anything in South Florida for them and girlfriend is getting a transfer up there anyways.

Anyone have any expirience with Schneider's hiring process?

They got a whole section here.
http://www.thetruckersreport.com/truckingindustryforum/schneider/CRON9 Thanks this. -
Thanks a lot for the link, I'm not really familiar with forums so I'm sure I'm doing a lot of wrong technical things here.

Schneider hires from specific area's. If you applied for a position in one area and then moved before starting the job then you will have to re-apply for a position in the area you moved too.
They seem to have openings all over the US so it shouldn't be much of an issue. -
I applied for a location I am moving TO which is Savannah, GA. I am moving FROM Florida. I put that I was relocating on the app.

I would think it would be more like having an out of state license. Zip codes sounds like you're getting shut down. Some places have many zip codes and they are right next door. I would look into the matter and find out exactly what the letter is saying. It could be because of your age too.

I thought I already explained this to you in the other thread.
Maybe you can get the lady to over-ride the computer, but it's going to keep kicking you back out. Recruiters are notorious for handing out BS.
Like I said before, they go by the address on your CDL, not by where you say you live, or are going to live.
If you are going to move then just move after you graduate. Believe me, you will have a much easier time getting hired out of Savannah than Ft Lauderdale. I know it seems like a big risk to you but it's not.CRON9 Thanks this.
