I just got my CDL. Got it from a taking a CDL class at a university. I have a felony from 25 years ago for a minor crime (about the most minor felony there is). I have a perfect record since then. I have a spotless driving record. I have been in my current job over 3 years. Basically all my stuff is perfect except for that one old spot on my record.

Looking please for any tips on who to apply with, who to avoid, and any other related advice. Thanks in advance everyone.

you're going to get mixed answer on this question, but my advice is go with whoever will hire you to get your experience than find a better company. 25 years ago shouldn't hurt you too much except with a few. most of them are 5 to a max of 10 years on felony, however, some won't hire with a felony at all.. I'm not sure the list of places that won't hire with a felony, but I'm sure someone will chime in with that.. Good Luck!

Do NOT try to enter Canada !!!!!!!!!! So don't drive for anybody that goes there. Other than that, you may not want to mention the felony.............

Is there any way you can get it expunged? Its been 25 years ago, I would think you could.

if it's your only charge.. it should be able to be expunged.. if you have more than one (pending on your state) they won't do it

I seen a few ads where they will take people on case by case situation. you can call companies up and talk to someone. it dont hurt to try.
