Also , this website is great , too. Just start searching for Cummins ISX in the title . You'll find a Vast amount of knowledge here .
If you're laid over in a TS , open the hood , and start puttering around. Someone will probably either wonder what you're doing , or think maybe they can help , and come on over.
Get a pair of coveralls , and a grease gun. Make up your mind , you are going to find every zerk on that truck , and grease it. ( BTW , this is a Great way to avoid problems down the road. I was having mine greased , instead of doing it myself.cost me a u-joint , cause some lazy kid couldn't get , or wouldn't get , a gun on it. )
most O-O's are always willing to share knowledge. They were in your shoes , once upon a time.

You might want to start with the emissions system first.

 

i used bing search to find my pid 155 isx engine fault code at www.justanswer.com There is a heavy equipment section under the mechanic category. Check out the feedback, they're experts. I check the web for all info I can find thats useful before making repairs on parts I never replaced. Then, I call at least 2 different dealerships when I have questions about my truck.

Way I understand this Ca. Crap , you're only subject to it , is A. You reside in Ca. , and B. your truck has under 500,000 miles on it.
