I need some suggestions. I'm not super strong or buff but I'm changing brakes on a trailer and today exhausted myself not being able to lift the wheel onto the studs. I got the inner one on but the outer is tough.
I tried prying and stuff but still. I don't have the tire lifting jack. Anyone have any tips. I'm working outside on dirt and plywood.

But mostly it’s just hard work.PE_T, Rounded_nut, Opendeckin and 6 others Thank this. -
Take a pry bar and get it under the center of the tire underneath it . One hand on top of tire to guide it onto the studs and use pry bar as leverage to lift it onto the studs. Make sure ur not jacked up to high. U want the height as close to the ground as possible
PE_T, Rounded_nut, Shawn2130 and 5 others Thank this. -
Grab a looong prybar from harbor freight. Use that with a 2x4 and slap wheels on all day.

maybe my flatbed load bar will help as a tire iron.

Yes like Tibbitt says. Pretend to jack the entire tire into the air. But leave extremely little to nothing between bottom of tire and cement slab. If you can rotate it with one or both hands with tiny amount of scraping from below you have managed to jack a truck wheel and tire combination as low as possible. (He he.. funny yes but deadly serious here)
Everything else is wrestling with prybars. Big ones 6 foot two inches with a foot blade on one end that has a square cut end. You pound it like a pogo stick to bust ice off your slab. Before you bust slab loose. (GTFO the way when it does...) wriggle this wriggle that wriggle some more. Shake and shimmy and haul. (DO NOT LET GO.... and DO have someone with you at all times. If you are doing this alone, it's not good. **THUMP wait a minute and you meet God potentially.) -
Farmerbob1, Shotgun94 and D.Tibbitt Thank this.

Only a flatbed will have a side rail to hook winch on to, then you can lift wheels up and get them sitting on hub and let them off?
x1Heavy Thanks this.
