I have a 2007 379 short hood. I am getting 7" flat top Dynaflex stacks.
My shop has a 12' door so if I want to be able to get the truck in there I can't go much over 11'8".
I don't park it in there as I usually leave the trailer attached but it would be nice but not necessary to be able to get it inside for maintenance. The shop has about 15' of concrete in front of it so if the stacks wouldn't clear I could still nose the truck in the door and have it entirely on concrete.
I really want them tall at 13'6" but I am debating on going 11'8 so I can get it inside. Will it look strange with them that short?
Help me chose stack height

I would say it's your preference. Like you just stated the stacks stop you from going into your shop. I like the the mobility to go in and out of an area. If you are pulling flatbed as I'm on the east side of the country i could go under some of those low overpass with short stacks. Like I said it is your preference.

I like the shorter stacks but what you have looks perfect to me.

What are those stacks at right now?

If you do not put flap tops on the flat top stacks, the truck will have a black coating all over top of it after it rains and you start up eng. all the black water will spray out the pipes.

Put 6" drop air bags on ur axle too and roll into the shop in reverse.
Original Bender Thanks this. -
The stacks on it now are about 11'3. I don't really like the tips and my mufflers are plugged up I believe. I think they look odd being so short as well. I don't know if the larger straight stacks being 5" taller and straight top will look a lot better or not.

5" taller stacks with a 45 degree mitre cut would look #####in' on that truck IMO.
Edit: Apparently #####in' is a dirty word so replace #####in' with freakin' sweet.Original Bender Thanks this.
