Ladies and gentlemen, I salute you. I have a question, I recently received my CDL. I ask you, can you explain where I should start looking for a job? Which company should I contact? I'm already thinking about buying myself a truck and starting looking for a dispatcher. I myself am Russian-speaking and, naturally, work is offered in general only to Russian-speaking people. But I still want to start working with everyone, I understand that my English is not perfect, but I try and want to join our beautiful country

What town do you live in, how often do you need to be home? Inder no circumstance buy a truck until you have at least 12 months driving as an employee driver for a trucking company. You want to be a W-2 employee. Do not sign up to be 1099 driver. That will be big tax problems.

as they say, you looked into the water, yes, I was offered to work 1099, we all started working like that) I live in Baltimore, but I can work in any other state, I don’t see any problems. As I understand it, I need more experience, I agree that I’m in a hurry and want to buy my own truck, but I understand that the likelihood of finding a job is greater, that’s why I wanted to buy it, and of course I don’t know which truck is better to take

    Ok.
Do you have any endorsements (hazmat, tanker, doubles)?
What kind of work are you interested in. (Dry van, tanker, flatbed, etc)?
How often do you need to go home, (daily, weekly, monthly)?
    BEWARE!!!
Like @tscottme said, stay far away from the Eastern Europeans operating primarily out of the Chicago area. They will absolutely steal from you. You do not want to have anything to do with 'lease purchase' agreements or 1099 (self employed) companies. You will absolutely go broke.

    Good luck

At the moment I am doing an internship working for Amazon, the dispatcher finds the cargo and we move along the route. I'm currently doing an internship with a trailer. I don't have a hazmat but that's it for now. I want to learn so that I can go out and work on my own. Regarding how long I can work, I can work at least 3 weeks a month. I am more than satisfied with resting for 3-4 days at home. And you are right, they offered me to lease a truck, I refused and now an acquaintance has hired me, but I understand how they work, it’s not very good.. there are many reasons

Standby, we're going to help you out. Be a little patient, not everyone is camped out here all day every day.
So, I take it you have some experience. How much?
Also, do you have any traffic violations / tickets?
Also, can you pass a drug test (whether you can or not is really none of our business. That said, if you can't, there's no reason to hunt for another job until you can.)

    tscottme and blairandgretchen Thank this.

I have only 14 days of experience driving a truck so far) But regarding violations, I do not have and never had a violation in America, I have been living here for almost 5 years) and I can pass a drug test with ease, even if they check me every day, I agree))

    tscottme Thanks this.

I'm more worried that I don't know English perfectly. But at least I’m talking, and who teaches me, during this period I realized that a person does not know the rules of driving, how to act when going down a mountain and there are a lot of examples, it seems to me that I have become more gray
