Op I completely agree with the advice posted here. Though you seemed determined to follow through with your idea and will likely not listen to the advice given. In that case, when looking at a dually pickup you must also consider the GCWR. Some pickup style duallies have a GCWR in excess of 26,000#. Which puts you in CDL territory. I wish you the best and hope you make sound, informed decisions.

I applaud you for trying to immigrate legally and with honor.

"Hi, as far as I know, you are mistaken. I am aware that the GCWR of a dually exceeds 26,000 pounds. However, you should pay more attention to the GVWR, which should be between 12,000 and 14,000 pounds. This factor is more crucial. Then, you add the GVWR of the trailer, and that will determine whether you are under 26,000 pounds or not."

"Maybe you're right; that's at least what I've found out. Are you 100% sure about this?"

So one step better than an average border jumper? I guess just doing the honest way is too hard. Wait until he's running a business in a cut-thoat economy in a cut-throat industry. Those tears will be salty I bet.

That's so ridiculous. Before I even get the visa for the USA, I have to invest at least $75,000 in my business and hire 5 employees within 5 years. When I start, I need money immediately, which is why I'm going the non-CDL route. Please tell me what is easy about that?

I was addressing Ridgeline. If your upset about the truth, you will do very well owning a trucking company.
