Help....New York state Class A permit looking for out of state schools...

    I called Central Ref.today and the recruiter told me their not taking people from New York becouse i would need to take the road test in NewYork. Im looking at company sponsored training to get my cdl but there are no companies in New York and New york doesnt allow u to take the road test in another state. Any suggestions or companies that would take a student with a New York state class A permit..

    do you have any relatives in another state where there is a school?, Use there address, Get the CDL, Than transfer you CDL to NY

    I just took my road test in wi. With a ny permit. Received a wi class a cdlcame back to ny once I received a hard copy of the lic switched it back to ny. I went through roehl transport for training

    Some places will rent you a truck , usually they test at their location and it would be a few hundred at the most. You live in NYS so google BOCES (Board of Cooperative Educational Services) and find the nearest one, most in upstate have CDL programs and may be able to help or get you in touch with someone who can.
