    How many miles were on the pump??

    You said there was not any metal in the pan?

    Fuel pump rollers are known to fail thus filling engine with fine metal shavings.

    No metal in sump, or signs of unusual wear. Oil pressure relief valve was jammed all the way up inside pump. They couldn’t get it out. So they replaced the pump. They think it was the original. That would make 1,702,257 miles on it. Maybe time it was replaced.
