I'm started filling out the app for starting a company and need advice on one of the questions.
The question "Will your company own a vehicle that weighs 55,000 or more to haul loads on highways? "
Do I check yes or no, seeing as a empty truck and trailer doesn't weigh that much????

Why are you paying them to do something so easy that you could do yourself?

    TallJoe Thanks this.

I did all the filing for my LLC through my states ( Indiana ) website. It was very easy and listed the steps you need to do etc etc...

    TallJoe and eliasm169 Thank this.

    Stop.
Go to your secretary of state website and see what they require. I did mine in Iowa. Typed it up and filed it myself for $50.

    HalpinUout and eliasm169 Thank this.

Why is the answer yes? I thought a typical 18 wheeler weighs 26000 pounds?

Edit: never mind I just looked it up

Amen to that! Either way you have to pay the state filing fee.....it all has to go through the state no matter who completes the paperwork. It really is not that complicated to do.

    HalpinUout and eliasm169 Thank this.
