Hi, I am college student who works at a truck stop. I have an assignment where I need to collect data bout a demogrpahic to create a health promotion campaign. I am not llowed to use observational evidence, I have to reach out to truck drivers with surverys. I am not allowed to interview people I know and interact with at my job. I am not spam. Please don't label me as spam I am just trying to do my homework, to get an A and move on with my life.

I need fifteen people to respond, if I can get more that would be great.
the survey is about truck stops and their role in influencing driver health. I know they play a huge role, but I need statically data from actual truckers. Please click on the link below. Please share the link below. I am not trying to sae anything just get a good grade to get a better job for my kid.

Do truck stops play a role in truck river weight gain?

    Terrible. You fail.

You post a link on an open forum asking for "actual truck drivers." How will you know they are drivers? How will you know that their situation is typical of the average driver or the info comes from a window licking Darwin award winner? And why didn't you take the time to check your post for grammatical errors?

Try this instead...go to a different truck stop, tell the manager on duty what you are wanting to do, put some clean clothes on a, get groomed up, make a name tag in a clear badge holder and put a safety vest and meet drivers coming in and talk to them. At least then, you will know that they're actually drivers. Plus you will remember more about what is said if you record it down in writing yourself.

Too much like work? I thought so. Adios.

You can keep spitting out that bottomless cup //teasing.

The truckstops of past have gone to self service with overprocessed food that has little to no value over time to the body. When I ate fast food, it's good for a hour and Im not doing well against what is necessary for work. When I sit and do a proper meal at the table cooked right and so forth then It might be tomorrow before i need to eat again. And thus I had no weight issues in trucking 145 wet and no fat to speak of. Too much physical work loading and unloading trailers twice a day some days.

    Thats the key.

Now if you quit smoking thats 15 pounds, get married another 20, a wife that knows how to cook thats another 20. and so on.

Finally but not last everyone is different. A truckstop's failure to serve good food today will only make things worse in the future after they have stopped serving to order at the table by eliminating the restaurant side. And turning themselves into nothing but a self service walk in and walk out with crappy food.

You cannot point to food as one source of weight. People are all kinds large and small. And sometimes situations like winter will demand many thousands of calories to stay warm in severe conditions as in -40 that you are out in all day or all night.

There are certain people who overeat and thus gain weight. They cannot stop overeating for a variety of life issues etc and are somewhat addicted. Next thing they know they are severely obsese. Literally too big to survive gastric surgery etc.

I had a cousin who was rejected by the army, rejected in love, rejected in absolutely everything except two things. A dead in job selling spirits and a love of food which took all his troubles away day and night when not working. By 40 they had to saw him out of his apartment when his heart failed. He had become obese to the point that you could have had two hearts in there and it would not be enough to be alive. And so we cremated him and buried him. That would be that. Life rejected him and he pretty much ate himself to death which was probably better than suicide by gun or whatever.

Trucking itself has turned into a steering wheel holding and push button. Computers take away all of your stress. So you gain weight really easily sitting still for 600 miles at a time and then sleeping for 10. (Or trying to) You are not doing anything today compared to back then. So if you do not watch what you eat then yes the weight will become a problem.

No surveys needed here. Just mentally add up and divide the percentages of truckers coming and going combined with what they eat.

A college kid wants to know about your day, so he/she can help you improve your life. A true social justice warrior.
"I want to help you truck drivers because you truck drivers are too fat and stupid to figure it out for yourselves." A teenage Moses wanting to lead me to the Promise Land.

Never even had a REAL job, but can tell me what I am doing wrong in mine. House paid for, truck paid for, bike paid for, make 2x more money than your mama and daddy combined, YET this kid can tell me what I am doing wrong.

    Fascinating.

Talk to drivers at the truck stop. Your college professor doesn't have to be told you interacted with drivers where you work.
