Help please corrupt software on Rand Mcnally 510

    Hi I need the firmware for the rand mcnally 510. I have one that has corrupt software and rand mcnally will not help since I don't have my receipt to show them when I purchased it

    If you paid with a debit or credit card the receipt information should be on your bank statement.

    Have you tried diagnostics/ repair on their website? If you can update your 510 its under tools. The receipt also gets one free lifetime map updates it is different from the software updates.

    Diagnostics and repair failed multiple times using the dock software

    I tried rand mcnally they won't help me with out receipt

    It's shows a white screen that says wince and loads a full bar then just freezes there but will make noise if I touch the screen

    Not sure what to do in this situation, maybe you and track down proof of purchase through the bar code and where you picked it up, it may take some time if they can do it, a long shot? Yes.. When mine was freezing up I powered it off then back on til I could get a software update online. This temporarly tokk care of that problem. it still was able to caclulate routes tho, d/r didn't correct the problem at first. Ran a test turned unit off and checked again in roughly 12 hrs. Eventually d/r found and corrected the corrupt files and thus allowed another software update. Took 4 try's
