hey guys i got a question about an 05 frtlnr, with a c-15 cat engine in it. wasnt sure where else to go to ask. We shut the truck off. and within about 2 hrs, the darn thing dont want to start, it seems to be gettin power but unless we stick some jumper cables on it, it just dont wannt start. I know the chargin system is good, starter is good and the solenoid seems to be ok, am kinda wondering if it might be the relay mag up on the firewall. and does anyone know what we can do to fix it temporarily until we can get it into freightliner and get it fixed. and could someone tell me where exactly on the firewall i might find this relay mag. Frtlnr in wichita told me on the firewall on driver side somewhere but not sure exactly where. Wish they would go back to the old mechanical engines again. all this computer stuff kinda givin me a headache.. but if anyone knows where that mag is and what kind of temp. fix i MIGHT be able to do i would appreciate it. THX guys
Help please!!! Got a small problem

oh by the way its a columbia sry. didnt put tht in the last post
-
is it turning over but just not fast enough to start?
sounds like batteries to me and yes they do go bad that fast. -
I have an International that is doing the exact same thing right now and it is
because one of more of the batteries has a dead cell or two. Because of this
sometimes it will not turn over but if you keep playing with it, it will SOMETIMES
eventually start. When it will not we just hook the jumper cables and VRRROomm
right away.
Tomorrow I'm going test to see which one or which one(s) have dead cells in them. -
same thing mine was doing with three bad batteries and one good one. it would turn but not start.
-
Definitely the batteries I think. They do not make the cell plates as well as they used to. Usually a piece of one will come loose and short the battery out. One bad battery will pull down the amps of the remaining good batteries depending on the severity of the short....

I can tell you that it's your batteries. I've had this problem before. Good luck.
