If it is more than three years old some companies will take you. When it is five years old many will take you and at ten years even more.

My last DUI was 10 years ago. I have a perfectlly clean driving for the last 10 years. Doesn't that count for something?

Most of my reseach has found that most companies state that a DUI has to be 5 years old or longer.

I think that is a "norm" for the industry. It can range from 3 - 10 years and some won't allow any at all. Many companies also state one DUI/DWI in a lifetime.

I'm not without fault, so I'm not trying to beat you up. Just offering some facts. Many states now have mandatory prison time for three DUI/DWI offenses.
