Last visit hit 3 store kiosks half hour before Visit. All 106-110/63-68. In office couldn't get below 160/75. This is getting old fast. Thanks for all the great help.

are you going to the same clinic? they mite be using a small arm cuff. ask them to use a bigger one.

If you think it is mental, go see a psychiatrist or something.
If I am not mistaken, with the new rules, you are very lucky your doctor is not reporting the "fail".
Even if you happen to squeak by at home and pass the physical, you may be limited on which companies will hire you without having their doctor give you another DOT physical.King34 Thanks this. -
I take Vitamin B-12 (1000 mg) once, or twice a day for a few days before the appointment. The day of appointment, I'll take two Vitamin B's when I first wake up, and only drink water until after I pass. B-12 is water soluble and so taking large doses isn't going to hurt you.Your body will eliminate the what it doesn't use.
Vitamin B-12 has a calming effect that quiets a beating heart and relaxes you. B-12 does not interfere with my blood pressure medicine, either.
I also call the clinic the morning of my exam and ask if I can take the BP part as soon as I get there. That way, my subconscious mind doesn't have time to work itself up and start worrying about what will happen if I don;t pass.
Finally, if you Pandora radio on your phone, listen to their nature songs while you are in quiet room. -
DP: will check that.Scot: staff knows me so they know what is up but I am in their office "strictly" for a free bp screen. Not scheduled phyical. Nurse has same problem so we're all on same page. SEXY: Will ad those to my arsenal. Thank you. Sounds great!
Scott101 Thanks this. -
I'm borderline high so I slow my breathing down and let myself "fade" when I'm checked for my DOT physical. Practice at home.

When you go back to the Dr. try elevating the arm that consistently has the lowest reading. Hope this might help. Main thing that helped me was cutting my salt intake. Hope everything works out for you, God Bless!! -
I just got my physical here in N.J. I also have white coat and I worry about it before going. My examiner told me they changed the rules and can accept doctors notes and other forms of proof that your bp is normal when not in their office.

They got a disorder or syndrome for everything now. I can't do something, let me see if there is a disorder to blame....
