Hey guys I really need help on this. I have a 2012 kw 660 isx fresh rebuild. Done about 12,000 miles on it. Since the first run my truck blows white smoke which is fuel it happens when I press the pedal or going uphill as soon as I let it go it stops. If I’m cruising normal it won’t do it. I’ve already changed a injector, swapped a turbo, all the fuel lines, fuel pump , fuel rail and some sensors that pertain to the fuel system (3) I know it’s not a regen issue. When I bought it had some work done to it. Was told oil cooler is leaking going to change it when I get back . Any help, ideas or feed back is appreciated.

    More questions than answers........

How is it that you can see any color smoke from the exhaust?

Why do you think that an engine oil cooler will fix a smoking condition?

How is it that you " know" it is not a regeneration issue?

Any oil or coolant consumption since rebuild? oil sample?

What tests have you done to the fuel system other than change parts........rail decay, IPT test, injector return flow rates?

Dino soar, Proxy, Heavyd and 4 others Thank this.

Raw fuel? Sounds more like raw coolant with all that white smoke.

As Goodysnap said, definitely more questions than answers.

I agree with Cam Roberts, without knowing more this is very likely

Goodysnap and Cam Roberts Thank this.

Isn’t Cummins famous for egr cooler leaks? Coolant leaks into exhaust and soaks sensors.

White smoke with fuel smell is areated fuel, most likely a fuel injector I would get it checked out ASAP because it can burn a hole in a piston.

This a cummins diesel. not a ford stroker. I sense the confusion judging by your avatar.
Not gonna happen and not the case

I’ve seen it on an ISL multiple times. Although having aftertreatment could be related to AFI. (Also powerstokes and all international v8 engines are garbage in my book)

By his original post, I think his aftertreatment may have fallen off.

Oxbow, Rideandrepair and Goodysnap Thank this.
