No. Haven’t installed them. My hood sits fine as you can see in the picture I posted. I bought for when the time arises when the bushings wear out. He made the set with grease zerts so they will last for a long while. Mine are factory. Contact him and see what he can fabricate for you.Oxbow Thanks this.

The difference between your 388 with a slightly sloped hood, and a car hauler 388 with a flat hood, is the hood, and also the cab and sleeper brackets. On a 388 car hauler, the cab and sleeper brackets are shorter and set the cab assembly closer to the frame, and the hood is flat.
On a 388 like @Diesel Dave, the hood is tapered to compensate for the cab assembly sitting higher off the frame.
Just raising the front of your hood won’t give you what you’re after.Oxbow, brian991219, Diesel Dave and 3 others Thank this. -
To accomplish what you’re after you’d need a car hauler hood and all the cab and sleeper mounts to lower everything closer to the frame.
On a 379 the grille surround is shorter on a short hood. The conversion uses an extended hood grille and surround and new top panels to make a flat hood. On a 389 as stated above the hood slopes because the cab and sleeper are farther off the frame.Oxbow, brian991219, Star Rider and 3 others Thank this. -
Emails are okay. Phone numbers on the other hand are verboten except in the Jobs section.Diesel Dave, Oxbow and brian991219 Thank this.
