    At the top of the page, go to Settings/Subscriptions

    In the column on the left under My Settings, go to Edit Avatar

    Under Custom Avatar, check Use Custom Avatar

    Then, you enter the url of the image that you want if it's from another site, or upload whatever you want from your computer.

    After you finish with that, be sure to click Save Changes at the bottom.
