help with becoming a o/o

    im a company driver right now but i just purchased a 1994 frieghtliner that was used for logging. i wanna start hauling logs and doing local loads but i dont really know what all forums and registration i need to do to get my truck ready for hauling loads. so can some one give me a list of stuff i need to do to get my new truck running legal i live in ga and thats where i will be hauling

    So, you bought an old truck, without knowing how to put it to work?
    There are sticky's at the top of the page, with titles that will be of interest to you.
    Sorry to say it, but you are already in a losing battle. Not knowing what revenue it is going to make, what you need to make it legal, what you need to get your authority, and so on.

    Ubu beat me to it. check that link out. if you have customers line up there are several companies that will help you out getting all your paperwork set up right the first time. cheaper to do the paperwork yourself, but i like the done right for a few hundred bucks extra approach, at least the first time.

    I was in the same position except I have been a mechanic all my life other than making a truck do what it should I had no idea where to start all I knew is I had suppressed the I want to as long as i could. I found a very informative thread on here I belive "Lilbit" posted that walked me through it step by step but I cant remember where its posted. Yes its a change no its not easy does it make money sometimes but do I love what I am doing, EVERY MINUTE OF IT. Good luck
