    Hi all.

    What is the fuel economy like for these 2 volvo models?

    2011 Volvo#VNL64T780

    2009 Volvo##VNL42T660


    I am undecided between buying one I the two above trucks. Any knowledge and information is welcome. Thank you. Both are below 300,000 miles.

    They're good. A vague answer for a vague question. Without knowing the engine make and size, tranny, and rear end ratio and whether they are 6x2 or 6x4, no one can answer your question. Does the 2011 use DEF?

    That's the important question.
    If it does.......take that one.
    It will get better MPG.(because it has less EGR)

    Unless it is a D16. If so let the Russians export it so Pablo can work on it in the Ukraine!

    Correct.:biggrin_25514:
    Don't buy the D16 if you want good MPG.
    An O/O i know sold his D16 and went back to a D13.
    The 16 was very thirsty combined with the fact that the 13 pulled allmost as good.
