After 2 months with a great trainer, my hubby has just got his truck from Werner. I want to buy him a CB and have no clue what to look for and where to get it. Any other ideas to make him comfy while he is out there on the road would be welcomed. He got a good taste of the Denver Blizzard this past few days and I am worried sick. I have learned that the lawn mower doesn't just fill itself up with fuel and oil...and a weed-eater is heavy as hell. And just how exactly he got the trash out on the right day at the right time...baffles me! This is a great site and I was glad he showed it too me before he left...

I looked at the Cobra 25 and 29 NOAA Weather. What is the average and is it something i can pick up at a local walmart?

A Galaxy 33 is a great starter radio, or the Connex 3300HP, which is basically the same ;)

    Google them

    Tseikana Thanks this.

Welcome to the forum! Glad you wandered in!

Cobra and uniden are the CB's i am familiar with, and both have good basic models that will work just fine.

Getting use to doing the stuff that hubby use to do takes a bit of time, but we have a good support network here for truckers wives. The Ladies Room is one place they hang out. There are plenty of people that will give you good advice, moral support, a shoulder to cry on and a few good laughs too.
