    Hi,

The load I got has to be delivered in Memphis (45 minutes away) between the times of 8 am and 3 pm; I’m also picking up a load in Memphis just down the road and it says I have to pick it up at 2 pm; my question is, how would you run this yourself? I’m trying to manage my time better and this is a little confusing for me. It doesn’t say anything about “deliver whenever” or “pickup whenever”, it gives specific times; will it specifically tell me when I can do this, though? Like pick up or drop off from 1200 to 1200, etc?

    Best regards, John

Flatbed usually has open windows of times. If i was u and 45 minutes away from delivery id be there at 8am get unloaded and exit by 10 hopefully and get on down the road to ur next pickup. Sometimes they might load ya early

1200 to 1200 means ur appt is at 1200.. Some places will load ya early. And most places will let ya show up 2 hr or 1 hr early

Coffey, Bean Jr. and farmerjohn64 Thank this.

I would be at my delivery point at 0800, unload, then be at my pickup point at 1400, as scheduled to reload...

Coffey, D.Tibbitt and farmerjohn64 Thank this.

Call shipper of next load, ask if you can show up early. If yes, deliver current load at 0800. If no... maybe deliver closer to 0900, depending on how far down the road the next load shipper is. It's generally better to deliver closer to the beginning of your appointment window, but there's also no point in burning more of your 14 than necessary. Really is a double edged sword like that

Yeah I think I’ll do what the other guy mentioned, be there at 8 am, then wait for my appointment at 1200; I think I’ll try going a little early though like you said

    Coffey and D.Tibbitt Thank this.
