"but i dont know what C15'02 means"
C stands for Carbon and it means it puts out a 15 foot trail of carbon per 2 seconds at highway speed. It is a CARB rating.
BTW I have some mountaintop real estate for sale in central Indiana if you're interested.

Y do I always seem to read those comments right after I have taken a drink? I NOW blame YOU for having iced tea all over myself lol.
-
Might be its a glider with a 2002 c15 motor in it
cetanediesel Thanks this. -
ya, ok...thx
-
If its an 02 it will have a 6NZ ser# If its an 07 It will have a MXS or NXS ser#
joecitizen Thanks this. -
@dirthaller...this particular truck is a 2007 International 9400, but i have seen it on other makes also. should i be understanding you correctly, even though the model year of the truck is a 2007, the engine is possibly a 2002. the only way to tell is for sure is by the vin as u stated above. not sure if truck is a glider, highly doubt it.
i have also seen C15'04, which i presume is indicating a 2004 engine in a 2007 model year truck? -
The 04 EPA engines were used from Oct 2002 to Jan 2008. The 07 EPA Engines were used from Jan 2008 till Jan 2012 The model year of engine should be on the oil cooler under the turbo. If your trying to be CARB compliant, you will need a 2008 model truck with a 2007 EPA engine.

BTW the C15 that is CARB compliant has a SDP ser# and they are problematic.

The sdp is a good motor if you get rid of the epa crap.
