    Hey guys,

I am working on plans to work up my personal APU. I have not decided which unit yet, but I have a question.

I am wondering whether to install the generator on the back of my cab (between the cab and catwalk) or to install it under my passenger side door.(there is an empty frame there connected to the frame under the faring.)

My concern with mounting it under the cab is the exhaust fumes. Think I could fabricate exhaust tubing to the back of the cab?

If I mount it to the back of the cab on the frame, I will need someone to fabricate a ventilated box. Any ideas on where I can get a box built.

Where ever I place it, I want it to stay. I have a Volvo 670 and the tool boxes are not big enough to transport a generator.

    Thanks Guys,
    Sean

Any local sheet metal shop can make you a box
Just draw it up and have them quote it
Better yet take the truck to them with the gen set.:biggrin_255:
