Will be looking at drive tires in the next month or so. How are the all position tires working out? MPG increase?

The st230 are wearing very well. m.p.g. are good for this time of year.5.9 6.4 I think the r.r. helps. I had to replace a few spread axle trailer tires due to metal cutting into the sidewall. I usually put a good tires on trailer, but now a days it's hard to find good & inexpensive. a local store than sells just about everything, had a couple tires 1 was a dr444 lug for $200.00 though I don't run lugs on trailer...for $200.00 I will. so my m.p.g. would be better if not for the 2 lugs. I like the 16 ply on the drives. I started to look & notice a lot of flat bed drivers have the st230 on their trailers too. I do like them. I will have to see how many miles I get out of them in total before I decide on them. I just remembered. I have toatal of 4 lugs on trailer. my local shop had 2 yokohama lugs that someone took off their truck for whatever, & I got them for $200.00 each installed. tread was 26/32 & 25/32 they are not wearing well.open shoulder. some chucking off at the ends of the shoulder, but for the price, I will be better off.

726ELs all the way. I've had 3 sets now going back to when they were just the 726. Great life, great wear, great traction - down to the end. Problem with Michelins IMO is price - they are almost $70 more (my price) each than the 726s and the biggest problem for me was when they get down to low 32nds the traction in the rain is horrible. I like the 32/32s of the 726ELs. You are getting months and months more use out of them before any other tire gets going. My problem with the 710 ecopia is the starting tread depth is 26/32nds (admittedly what most tires start at, but not the ELs.). Not a lot, but enough to probably negate any fuel savings - as is the case with going green. Pay up front or pay later, either way you save nothing. With all that said I am considering them. Same price (my price) as the 726s and they are the latest and greatest technology. I can't believe they will save that much fuel without giving up something, but I am sure curious to find out!
