If you had surgery bring documentation from the surgeon to the DMV and ask for it to be removed. They’ll probably make you take their eye exam also.

You had the phone in your hand and obviously had it up high enough for the trooper to see it. Doesn’t really matter what you were doing with it..and probably have some difficulty getting that one removed. Nonetheless you need to try and get it removed at any cost.

But officer I was only holding the crack pipe :)

so ICLs aren’t permanent. I can get them removed, this isn’t a technicality, this is the truth.

If I had LASIK where the surgery was permanent, and I would have not updated my license, that’s on me.

but technically speaking, the ICLs are Implantable Collamer Lens, well within the bounds of “corrective lenses”

I find it hilarious to think that everyone and their mommas hates the DOT and all the BS This they do, but only when it happens to them.

When it happens to someone else, it’s “the officer was right, and you’re completely wrong”

    bryan21384 Thanks this.

To state the obvious if you don't pay attention to everything around you, you get in big trouble. For example, you don't start digging in your pants pockets while you are passing vehicles, or being passed. You don't reach for things in a curve. You don't look at your phone or ELD when changing lanes. You don't change radio stations/skip track while entering or leaving a scale house. When it's raining, in a tunnel, etc you ONLY DRIVE. If it's foggy, you have no excuse for doing anything, I mean anything, except drive.

ONLY YOU can protect your license. Drive before the ticket like you will drive after the ticket or close call understanding your career is hanging by one thin strand of spider web. Some problems are a lot easier to prevent than to fix after the fact. You have to put all your effort and money into getting this ticket reduced to ANYTHING else.

Here's how you can know if you made an honest mistake and should keep driving or just leave CDL driving. If your response is to get mad at people telling you you messed up, get out. Do something else. You are not mature/professional enough to stay in the industry. If you are embarrassed and listening to what you may not like hearing, then you probably are psychologically equipped to change your habits and keep working. Either way, you volunteered for all of this trouble. Don't volunteer for more trouble. Consequences don't just happen if you get lots of warning and agree with those consequences.

There are probably some companies somewhere that you can work for if you lose this job.

Lol you good bro? I'm sensing tension from your end. Don't bring up Uvalde here man. Tense topics are rough on this forum, especially if you have a differing opinion. You'll probably want to keep this industry related.
