My hubby went to a very good trucking school, got his CDL, was hired by Roehl, and is now with his trainer for 4 days (has 6 days left). He has a bad trainer. He is yelling at him for everything and is telling him to drive and do everything differently that what Roehl or school told him. He is cramming 3,500 miles into 10 days instead or 13-14 days. Even yelling at him to run red lights and that nobody will catch him. He is ready to throw in the towel. This guy thinks he is the greatest driver around and does not eat (except for 1 meal) or rest and is mile crazy. He was supposed to be reviewed yesterday by his trainer and he was so upset and nervous from him yelling at him. He made mistakes that he never made before. At this point can he get fired by this trainer from Roehl by a bad review from this trainer? Can he ask for another trainer? What should he do? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

LOL.... Tell him to call dm when he's by himself and ask for a new trainer. I don't think the trainer has authority to fire anyone. These things happen all the time. He has to let someone in the office know about it as soon as possible.
dm= driver manager or dispatcherJimDriv3r Thanks this. -
Thank you for you help! I will see if he is able do this.

Anytime.... most companies are well aware of problems regarding trainers. Roehl is a good size company and I would think they would be helpful to your hubby. They really better be helpful because otherwise they will lose a lot of drivers.

have your hubby call his DM or whomever and have him ask for another trainer. he will be asked why.......and if enough complaints of the same type crop up another time, the company may toss the trainer out.
tell him NOT TO FEAR reporting his trainer. -
Thank you, now if he can only get in touch with his DM secretly.

I thought he had to use the Qualcom in the truck to contact the DM. I guess he can call the 1-800 number I think they gave him before he left. Thank you!
