I have been driving for 8 months with a company out of michigan, and I have been thinking of switching. My outbound loads are normally office furniture that can lead me to some pretty tight areas, downtown off truck routes, hard backing. have offers from Melton, us express, and mcleod.
all offer more money but mcleod will pay me the most, and get me home three weekends a month. I want to be with a good company for a good length of time, so I want to make a very good informed decision.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Who do you drive for now? If you want a good company you better stay away from Mcleod, I have never heard a good word about them from anybody. Us Express seems to want to force singles into running team or doing lease purchase from the sounds of what I mostly hear about them. I know a couple guys who worked there and it pretty much sounds like you work for the former soviet union. Melton seems to be a decent company but I have no first hand experience with them.
