About a week ago i was in birmongham,Al. at the flying hook. now it was about 8:30 pm when i pulled in. I had my shower bag in hand. It was cold an rainy.. As I'm walking twards the building here this Rohle driver tring to put full 8 ft drops over his lumber load...trying to beat the rain....the two trucks parked next to him sat there watching him fight the tarps an the wind , bullshyating on the phone! Instead of giveing this guy a hand.....so i thru my bag on the front gave the old boy a hand. took us 15 minits between two of us to button the load up....it didnt bother me i was heading for the shower anyway....now the drive came in the truckstop ,wanted to buy me dinner..so i showered he said he would be waiting in dennys for me....so i took care of my buisness , a went into dennys.....we had dinner...I took the bill! he said it was his treat for helping him.......my comment.....pay it forward , next time you see a driver needing a hand...help him.....I'm not tooting my horn here...a couple of old timers......made me promise...I am a man of my word.....this is what truckings about. for all the bad thats out there if we dont help each other.....well you know the rest.........thanks dino![]()

Way to go, Dino. The world would be a much better place if more people would help one another. It's shocking how good it makes ya feel to pay it forward.
-
Jesus Dino are you going for boy scout of the year or what?

Hey man...well done really

That's awesome man. Its good to know there's still nice people out there and hear the stories of how they helped.

i know i sure dont mind doing it--gives me chance to get off of my butt and meet somebody new--and make somebodys job a bit easierteddy_bear6506 Thanks this. -
Good job, driver !
I hear some drivers use the term " G.O.A.L." [ get out and look ].
I like the term " G.O.A.H." [ get out and help ].
Instead of watching someone trying to hit a tight park spot, and laughing on the CB when they give up, get out and help them back in.
