McElroy is a good company that hires in your area.

I was in corporate world until a few years when I made the move. I drove for a year as company driver and recently added 2 trucks and 3 trailers.

While i have had some challenges along the way, Ive been very happy with the move into trucking.

No they have started running a lot of west coast too from the drivers I've talked to at truck stops. I was gonna go to work there out of school until I found Watkins would get me home weekly. And big m wanted me to stay out 10-14 days

I'm tired of the same thing for the last 16 years and I'm looking to get in to trucking.

That being said, I do not have to do this, it is a desire to me. I give everything my all, yet I know when it's time to move on.

I'm going to get my CDL, self pay, and want to find a company that views me as something other than a steering wheel holder. I'd also like a few creature comforts as in APU, good miles, and a decent truck.
I do not expect the world, and I realize I will need to earn my stripes, but see no reason to be miserable doing it.

Any advice you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
