All they'll tell me Gears, is that I must have used too much fuel and that I'm going home too often. I told them that I was having trouble understanding my settlement, I was promptly informed that I was taught how to read it in orientation. Everyone there kissed my butt right up until I signed the lease. Since then I can't get any help. The guys in their training/lease department in Rockwall were nice enough to give me their phone numbers and invited me to call them with any questions. However, they don't answer the phone and don't return my calls. I feel like such a chump.

Man, that's just not right. To treat a guy like that, especially somebody that's out there working hard for you.... just plain wrong. Hopefully there are other TA folks out there reading this thread that might be able to help.

bcso809, just take the weekend and go up to the truck show in Wildwood and get your mind off of things, I see you live in Inverness that's the only reason I'm suggesting this. My wife and I used to live there a few years back but had to get out because things got so rough there economically. I worked for Global Tire Recycling up in Wildwood in 07-08 but again the economy hit them hard and we had to relocate. How much experience do you have? Have you thought about Commercial Carrier Corporation, I started there when I first got my license, you won't get rich but you'll make a better living than what you're making now, either way do what's best for you and your family don't let a company take advantage of you.

Well CCC should still be an option, they hired me as a student driver and treated me pretty fairly. I feel for the guy, I know Citrus and surrounding counties are in a rough economic state right now, I've watched a lot of people lose everything, and watched the once booming town of Brooksville decimate to the ranks of a ghostown, sad.....

Been There And dun that but not the lease you will drive to be broke
While you pay for the truck for them leave now unless you wanna be stressed for the rest of the year they gave you a lousy excuse about you using too much fuel
the make your fuel route and its sent to you when you get your delivery route

the best thing to do is to turn the truck in make sure you take pics of it from the inside out because they will hold your last settlement and tell you a lie like you damaged the truck which is why you have no settlement coming now that's some hard #### to swallow walk away now and owe nothing while you can....

Thanks again guys. Going to give my notice tomorrow, got a job waiting with May Trucking. I hope it's a move in the right direction, if nothing else I'll be out of the lease and in a company truck. I just hope they (Transam) don't screw me too bad when they find out I'm leaving.

    123456 and Gears Thank this.

I gave my driver manager my two weeks notice today. It took about 15 minutes for me to get a call from leasing. I then got a 35 minute pep talk about how great I'm doing and that how I wasn't giving myself a chance to be successful. Once he realized that he wasn't getting anywhere with me he did a Jekyll and Hyde and sounded kind of pisssed off. Total fake! My hat's off to all of you drivers. I was a cop for 15 years, I worked as a bicycle officer, a motorcycle officer, a training officer and a traffic homicide investigator/accident reconstructionist and I can honestly say that nothing in law enforcement ever stressed me as much as my first month as a truck driver. I know you guys don't get the respect you deserve out there, but you've definately earned mine.
