I am in CDL school now and I have applied with them to be a company driver.

It surely sounds like the lease program is a bad idea, but I am curious what it is like being a company driver without all the hassle of the lease?

From reading through here it seems like they will push you into lease program by telling you they have no company trucks available. If a company treats some drivers poorly I can only imagine they will eventually treat every driver the same...

    just my opinion...

There are several TA threads on here and I am all thru them as a company drvr. Have told or tried to tell, both the good and the bad. Been mostly bad. Do a little reading, then if you've got any specific questions, will try to answer them. Biggest difference between me and an L/O, is at least I get a paycheck.

No, I didn't 123456. I happened upon a job driving here from a local beer distributor. I work a lot harder, but I'm home at night and get a pay check at the end of the week. Thanks for asking about me.
