Here I go with TransAm Trucking!

I got the auto-shift (with clutch pedal). Discovered I liked more than I thought I would.

 

I remember saying the same thing till I was forced to drive one. I'd rather take a beating than give up my auto. Its a two pedal I-shift volvo.

 

I just don't know guys......can they pull a grade and handle the downside like a manual??....I guess I'd have to try one but I gotta say I'm skeptical

 

Day two down! More classroom stuff, paperwork, paperwork and more paperwork. For all the things I've read, I was suprised that other than them explaining the differences in the benefits, we did't hear anything about leasing. So tomorrow we are to pack up and check out of the hotel in the morning. They say that they have trainers in route to pick us up. But with 18 in the class, I kind of doubt that they'll have enough. We were told that those of us that don't leave tomorrow will be sent back to the hotel, but that we should all be on the road by Sunday. We'll see. Still so far so good.

 

You can always put the trans in manual and button shift. I've not had to do that (yet) however.

 

As for pulling a grade, its a trk. Some I pass and some I'm passed by. I have used the manual function and it works pretty good.

Well today was more of the same. Even more paperwork and log books. Most left today, some tomorrow and Sunday. Lucky me has to wait till Monday. I did talk to my trainer though and he sounded cool. So now I'm just sitting in the hotel waiting.

 

Well, it's Tuesday and I'm still sitting here at the hotel waiting on my trainer. I'm staying positive and don't think there is anything that could have been done by TransAm to get him here quicker. First he was delayed by a load and now the weather, but he should be here tomorrow. Wish me luck, I'm going crazy being stuck in this hotel.

 

So are they that short of trainers ? Or are they just that many students going there ? Seems theres always students sitting waiting on trainers .
