I dare say at least 3 individuals lost their lives there... The truck driver, and 2 4-wheeler drivers... And very possibly many more. That is some scary #### there.

 

I guess the car on the right ignited whatever was leaking from the tanker. ??

 

It looked way but I'm not totally sure either.

 

My thoughts as well... Probably hot brakes or exhaust.

 

most likely the catalytic converter, much hotter

if you look carefully, the car on the right goes into a "'dip" most likely a puddle of what ever was spilling, and "ka-boom"...

I am not saying it didn't happen, but the repetitive explosions in a row are the same one. Why would anyone doctor something so horrific to make it look even worse?
