Set up to drag an open deck around West Texas.
I drag a conestoga around the Great Lakes region down into Kentucky. Either 31,400lbs or 77,000lbs+. No in between, hauling steel. Idle pretty much constantly, truck only turns off at fueling, inside a building, or sitting in my driveway.
6.2mpg.AVL and Oldironfan Thank this. -
Still have refused to idle at night. Been getting motel, or sweating it out. (had about enough of that)
Question: #1 When you guys idle all night do you high idle,? Like 850-900rpm instead of only 600..?
#2 How much fuel should I expect to burn over a 10hr idle.??
