    That a USMC AAV.
Curb weight is 53 to 64k depending on the variant.
Not what I would want to haul on less than 6 inches of the outer deck, but more power to them. I certainly dont wanna pay for the rebuild.

Dont see the problem. Looks to me hes using pop up chains . nothing wrong with hooking to the rub rail. Not something i would do, but ive done it before when ive run out of chain that i couldnt wrap it around the spool. Still nothing wrong with doing it that way other than it damage ur equipment, but its not illegal.

You won't get a response with the law number because that law doesn't exist. This is just another example of some guy being told something by his tmc/melton/Werner trainer and assuming it's accurate.

Only an idiot would hook to the rub rail. 1 getting side swiped will most likely result in your straps braking. Dumping your load on the othwrside...

2 it's only rated for 10k lbs... but u strapping 40k lbs to it?

    3. It's a flat bed so everyone can see your an idiot.

    Did you understand the meaning?

If not than you are not intellectually superior to anyone.

If so than there is no need for correcting it.

Its another topic thats been beat to death time and time again....nothing wrong with hooking to rub rail. The odds of getting sideswiped and ur straps getting cut , i think u are more likely to get struck by lighting or win the lottery.. When u run those straps underneath ur trailer like "ur sposed to" when that strap gets cut , guess where that stray hook is gonna go. Its going straight to the ground and that will not be pretty when ur tire picks it up and throws it thru the windshield of the car behind u .. Ur strap gets cut and its hooked to rub rail , it is not going anywhere, its going to stay hooked to the rail... Still nothing wrong with running a binder to the rail , wouldnt be my first choice because it will get damaged sooner or later , but sometimes u have no option

Exactly how are the straps going to get cut while they are inside the rub rail hooked underneath? It's a rub rail.. you know incase it get rubbed... by a post by a vehicle.. its kind of its purpose... hence the term rub rail. Straps hooked to it or strapped going over the outside of it completely defeats its purpose. And it's not designed to hold 40k lbs of freight. I stand by my statement.
