Hey Brick or anyone else who knows, what the heck happened to the St Louis, MO location for C-1 Truck Driver Training? It is no longer offered as a campus location on any of the websites I click on.

Well, I am doing it. So are 22 other brave souls. Don't have much time to write so I'll be brief. Definitely study before you get here. Start testing on Day 1. Also be prepared to fill out evrything that you already did for Drivers Solutions. Be prepared to fill at application for your respective companies and have 10 years work history. Bring all addresses and phone numbers for references and former employers. DS just gets you into the class and thats it. Thanks to this site I was prepared for that, would have been much more of a hassle had I not been. First day will be twelve to thirteen hours. Plan on being in class till at leat 8pm your first week. PAM applicants will be doing their DOT physicals at a third party location. IF you can drive I would suggest it. Other applicants will physical at the school. Also you will have to go to the license bureau on your own to get license transferred to Indiana and test for your CDL permit. Download the Indiana CDL guide. DS guide not that helpful. Plenty more to say but mo time got to study. Oh yeah the motel is as bad as they say so if you are not thickskinned I would make other arrangements. Try to get on here this weekend. Instructor is great and knowledgeable but even he says his job is to get you your CDL and thats it. So be prepared. Later.

I read the ripoff report. I will agree with most of what he said, but hey, thanks to this site you know what you are getting into, before you get there. I just finished my first week at C1 Fort Wayne. There was only one night that I heard loud people and it wasn't all night. One guy did tell a story in class about getting a phone call to his room looking for the previous occupant who apparently had used her services before. You don't have to stay at the motel, it is optional. If you have the cash stay somewhere else. If you don't, C1 charges $400.00 for your use of the room but it is figured into your contract for the school so it gets paid back throught the payroll deduction with your company. The only tailer I have seen is out at the driving range. the actual school is at a warehouse building.

Remember this is a place to get your CDL and they assist in placing you with a company. I don't know what some of you expect. Do the research and make an informed decision. If you are of average intelligence you will be outta here in three weeks ,tops. Move on and chalk it up to experience. Don't expect the world.

As far as the training , it is great, instructor is great. It is what you make of it.

pwdlu, yes they recently closed the DS school St. Louis. By the way, the trucks are beat up and abused. What would you expect for trucks that are driven by people who have never driven before, why put them in new trucks. They are for TRAINING.

pwdr, thecondition of the trucks statement was not directed at you, just throwing that out there for those that want to know or are critical.
