North Carolina W/C is going up $1800.00 a year. They just don't want small business operators in this state

That's about $35 a week, the reason it is going up is too much fraud, too many not paying in and because they can.

Ohio doesn't even require you to have it if you are self employed.

You would make a full move to another state to save $1800 a year? Better figure out what property taxes, auto insurance, etc are in Ohio compare to NC before making that move. You may not gain a thing. My OCC/ACC is $136 a month, or $1632 a year. But I have very low property tax ($1800 a year on 2.5 acres of ground with 2100 sqft ranch home with 2 car attached garage, a 80x100 pole barn, and another garage I use as a storage and oil shed, $800 a year property tax on the 38 acres of farm ground), my 2006 Cadillac tags will drop to $50 a year in January, my auto insurance for my 2015 Chevy 2500 and the Caddy is lower than any state around me, and overall lower cost of living in my area that there is no way I would move to save that $1632 in OCC/ACC insurance cost.

My sister pays $3500 property tax for her house every July. Typical property size for just a house only.
