So I heard yesterday that my wives ex husband is going to trucking school too, and he is going to go to the same company I have chose to work. That dude hates me, and every time we have been in the same vicinity there has been drama usually started by him. Anyways I am not looking for confrontation we moved out of state because of other problems we had mainly work, and have enjoyed not having any problems with him since. So what do I do?
Another thing there is no possible way he would know that I am going to school or even if he knew that where I chose to go to work, so its not a case of stalking just some weird destiny bringing us back together.
Heres a good question

If something comes up just stay calm and be professional, let this guy hang himself with his own drama.

With thousands of companies is it necessary to pick the same one?
If you start at different times I would say it would be at least 3 months before you all even have the chance to cross paths. About the only time is at a terminal and who's gonna do something in front of the boss?
Not being negative but with more quitting than staying I'd say there's a good chance one of you might not make it 6 months.
Move to another location or keep your curtains closed and he won't see you!
I would wait until after training and maybe let your dispatcher know of the issue. He can see on the computer where you all are at. -
Pretty much what was said above. Keep your bearing, don't let him get the better of you. You both will have enough rope too hang yourselves with.... if decides to do that, let him... you don't need to follow suit.

1) Go drive for a different company.
2) Walk away when you encounter him.
3) Say "yes, you're right" to anything he says ( how can he argue that?)!
These seem like "nobrainers!"
Why do you need us to advise you?
If there's no way for him to know where YOU are, how did you find out what HE is doing? Something's not right here.newbietrucker007 Thanks this. -
I'd stay cool and let management know BEFORE anything happened.

Yeah I am much more level headed than he is, he was a bad alcoholic which lead to his outbursts. I am guessing or hoping rather that he has sobered up. He is much more level headed when sober but it was hard to catch him that way, and the last I heard before the recent news was he was drinking worse than before. So maybe he has turned himself way around or he is going to figure how to balance his drinking with weeks on the road, not sure how an alcoholic does that legally. lol

If your OTR you prolly won't see each other.

Be that nice, easygoing, "give the shirt off your back" driver to everyone you meet in the company. That way, if he does come looking for trouble, you will have others, including the boss, going to bat for you. But if you go out there and warn the boss about this guy, and he turns out to be a good hand, the boss and everyone will look at you and think, "hmmm, he seems like a decent hand. Wonder why ol Mondo tried to poison everyone against him?" And then your character is suspect.Chinatown, DirkSteel and Tonythetruckerdude Thank this.
