When you are following a slow truck thats passing another slow truck, wait for the passing truck to get back in the right lane before you decide to pass and please dont cut between the two trucks and pass the passing truck on the right..... Its a good thing I was watching my mirror as closely as I was( and always do) the other day when this happened to me. Some car who was obviously in a hurry just couldnt wait for me to finish passing and get back in the right lane and thought it was a good idea and cut the other truck off and pass me on the right.

Had one do that south of my home. They were in such a hurry to get back in front of the vehicle they passed on the right, they clipped the ford truck and caused it to go in the median and jacknife the travel trailer.

Needless to say, the 4 wheeler got a ticket and all of the damages are his fault.

We used to have on a trailer years ago , Passing side on the left and Suicide on the right side , for good reason .

Some of the trucks are just as bad as the four wheelers . My better half complains about them from time to time . In a big hurry to get where ??

In a big hurry to meet the big guy upstairs !!!:biggrin_2556:

I like it when justice is served.....

Needless to say, this is one of the reasons I hate being governed at 62. I feel like sometimes I dont have the right to pass when another trucker is doomed to go almost as slow as I have to. I just figure, if it bothers you the 4-wheeler, theres a number on the back of my trailer..... Call it up and ask why their driver is going so slow.....

Had a woman in Jersey past me on right SHOULDER coming off an on ramp, clipped my bumper, spun across 4 lanes crashing into trees in median... her skid marks started to the right of the rumble strips.. she was issued multiple tickets... Then get notice in the mail that she now is sueing me and my employer for 750,000 each....accident was about 9-10 years ago just before me going OO... case was resolved 3.5 years ago after it went all the way to a jury trial... she got zzzzilch! ..... Ins co. paid for my lawer luckily.... but I made 23 trips to new jersey at my own expence and since i was now an OO major loss of income........ To all new drivers even when its not your fault you can still be found at fault .... take plenty of pictures and gather as much info as you can.....gotta protect yourself.. glad i did..

I've seen a ton of trucks that wait waaaaay to long to get back over. I'm wondering if they'll ever wake up. But, you are right, DO NOT pass on the right, ever. If I'm passing and have cleared and am on my way back into the slow lane with turn signal on, too bad for any 4 wheeler trying to pull that stuff. Guess he's going to run onto the shoulder, right?

I would rather they stay out at least a truck length to avoid finding them in the lane and something suddenly shows up in the lane because they are too close.

It is better than the ones that just start over and miss by inches.

    I don't mess with trucks. They're bigger than I am. :biggrin_2554:
