I continue on about a truck length ahead prior to moving back to the right so as to avoid picking up any loose stones in the middle and throwing them at the "passee's" windshield. Lord knows I have replaced enough glass over this.
heres some friendly advice to 4-wheelers....

I NEVER pass a truck on the right no matter how slow they are going. It is dangerous and rude. You won't get where you are going any faster if you are dead! (At least that is my philosophy!
)

And with winter here, I've already had one window replace because of this, and it was from a little car!

As a 4-wheeler, that is good to know. Sometimes I wonder why some trucks stay in the left lane so long while others move over right away. That makes sense though. I will definitely keep that in mind when it seems like I am waiting forever for my turn to pass.

Only uninformed people pass trucks on the right.

only jerkf-offs stay to the left regardless of what the signs say, and/or how many lanes of travel there are, or that it's middle of the freaking night and there's really no traffic.
-
I love the idiots that just enter the highway, and immediately go to the left lane, no matter how fast they are going. I cannot tell you the number of times I have just stayed in the right lane, and passed all of the fools in the left lane.

flip side of this complaint is the 63 mph truck passing the 62.5mph truck for 45 minutes. why cant the professional driver with the 63 mph truck realize that he could tuck in behind the 62.5 truck and still get where he's goin at the same time?
-
Well in the old days we used to slow down to let the guy get by. Not helping the guy get by is rude. But it's the responsibility of the vehicle thats passing to get it done with in 1.5 miles. The law requires 10 mph difference to pass is legally a 63 mph truck can not pass a 62 mph.danelady and AfterShock Thank this.
