Dont know your history, but might check with your local unemployment office and see if you quialify for free CDL school. Lots of hoops to jump thru. Thats how I got mine.
If anyone breaks into my truck they will be sorely disappointed lol. Never had it happen.

Yeah, and don't let these "new age truckers" tell you that you don't need to invest in an Atlas because you can access Google maps on your smartphone. Get one once you get off the trainer's truck.

 

Try accessing Google Maps in the Rockies or Mojave. That Atlas can make your day a whole lot better.

 

What gets me is if someone feels the need to make a video about how bad their job is and how much they hate driving, why are they still driving?

ANSWER: Because you can't be fat, stupid and lazy and hold down a job at McDonalds.

So the biggest losers in life are making videos about the trucking industry. What the heck do they know about the trucking industry? They can't even figure out how to take a shower, after the cashier at the truckstop that was holding her nose gives them a free shower. YET, they know about the trucking industry. Riiiiiiiight.

And the people that watch them and take what they say as gospel? They're losers too. Why are you people griping about your pay when you decided not to better yourself, apply yourself to learning, or build a good work ethic? You did it to yourself. Why should you make a decent wage when you yourself are not a decent human being?

Overheard a conversation at the lunch counter. This guy had been driving for 5 years at a mega, doing the lease purchase and a trainer and averaging between $1000-1500/week. He asked the people sitting at the lunch counter how difficult is it to make ends meet if they're owner ops.

"Friend, you do understand that we don't run for $.90/mile+fsc, don't you?"

Would you believe that shocked this driver? Well, drivers jumped in and tried to steer him right. Except 1 driver. This driver, worked for the same company, same lease deal, but he started giving tips on how to survive on $.90/mile. And the other guy was captivated, taking notes.
Have you ever wondered why some companies have such dismal safety ratings? Probably because they have such a high concentration of Stupid.

Have you ever wondered why LTL, tanker, car hauling...etc pays a lot better than the bottom feeders? Because Stupid can't survive there.
