    Well had you not changed the font size to mice type, one might have seen it and not thought it to be part of your signature line..... but since the article mentioned the problems going back months and at multiple locations nationwide, and without the article mentioning supply side capacity shortages then its safe to say your assertion is baseless.

    Seriously WF has substantially better operating margins than the rest of the industry. They are MUCH less likely to lose supply of inventory over raised trucking prices. Everyone who works direct customers knows that some of them when told prices have gone up shrug and say 'pay it.'

    Anybody who doesn't think WF would say 'pay it' has never been in one of their stores. This new inventory system is them trying to cut costs... Notice how terrible at it they are lol. It's like the first day lifting weights lol.

    WF has been cost cutting drastically since the Amazon acquisition. There was multiple reports on zerohedge as well as Business Insider of employees telling the press the cost and quality of the food itself has decreased.

    On paper logs the formula was; take the distance divide it by the speed limit - 5 mph, and the result is your line number 3, everything else on line 4 is 15 minutes plus sleeper berth. Pure, mathematically formulated, on paper written, simple. This allowed running over 4000 miles in 8 days with ease. Now....well maybe 3000.

    If I needed to drive 4000 miles in 8 days I wouldn't be a truck driver. Heck I don't WANT to drive 3000 miles in 14 days?

    Reality is about 1800 every 7 days with 2 of those days at home.

    I'm with you on that. I hate it when I turn 2,000 or more miles in a week unless it's #### near $10,000 booked then I get excited. As long as it's profitable 1,500 miles or less is plenty of hard work. I remember when I used to drive a company ride. 3,000 mile weeks on a bad week. The more miles the merrier. Working for peanuts. Typical trucking company rat race. Every weekend just barely enough time for a 34 hour reset then back at it again. Tired and worn out all the time nonstop grind. I'd leave the industry before I ever went back to that BS.

    Looks to me that February 2018 stagnation has been able to swallow any ELDs impact in one gulp. Shippers are dictating prices. A little better than last year - 2017, but just a little bit, if anything, considering increased fuel prices.In my case, I observed decreased mpg (down to 5.9 mpg) due to Winter driving (so I think) resulting in whooping fuel cost increase from .39 cpm to 50 cpm. Still...December - January momentum allows this moment to be still bearable, but if someone did not work December- January, it could be depressing. I don't mean to ##### ... ok - to beech - pardon my incorrect spelling - or anything but where are all those theoreticians and prophets predicting ELD promised land?

    Happens every February and ELD's were never going to change that. Lots of giddy people thought otherwise a few weeks ago. When nobody is shipping anything ELD's dont magically create freight so let's all enjoy the low rates - at the house. That's trucking. Now is the time of year to take care of any needed maintenance with your unit that you've put off. It'll get busy again in a few weeks and rates will be great again.

    My weekly lane, L.A. to Portland, saw a significant increase of capacity the first 2 weeks of February. At one point it was 8 trucks to 1 load. It's supply & demand, bro. You know that ;-)

    I was feeling kinda cranky with my contract rates.... but I figured if spot rates stayed up eventually contract stuff would go up too......oh well.
