in fact, one of the few people I could not work under the table was a black dude from Africa who I worked with in the oil fields. He consistently worked 21 hours per day to my sixteen

Well that settles it: a random guy on the internet brags he can outwork us all, clearly I'll believe that.
Better keep working hard, leave working smart to all us folks that can't keep up with your strenuous pace.

Doesn't it just make your heart bleed in compassion, for those poor brokers that were hiding that extra grand somewhere before all this took place? I'm torn to pieces myself.

All this supposed freight sitting on docks just shows where the problem lay in the past.

If the freight is sitting now, it is due to too many drivers "adjusting" to accomodate. Now that "adjustment" is gone. So ride those higher rates for as long as they last, drivers!

Cause eventually (like in a month or two), everything is gonna stabilize. Everybody will have adjusted and adapted. Rates will drop, and hopefully (and I do stress HOPEFULLY) stabilize at a slightly higher level than we saw prior to mandate.

Business as usual once the overreaction has passed.

    Hmmm......Not this time.

Im Personally trying to transition over to an ELOG,Not Working......

You'll NEVER Get 11 hours of actual Highway Road Time on an Elog- 10 at best- I'll explain later

Many Guys over 40-50 Years old calling it quits for Good This Time-No Overeaction.

Younger generation work ethics are Differen't , Team that up with an E-log and Productivity will be down 10%

Back to an 11 hour "Driving" day on E-logs.

You'll never get a Full 11 of Turned Miles via E-log because ,on average ,It takes 3 to 10 minutes to exit a Highway to Fyuel or take a break at a truckstop Then Re-enter

It takes 5-10 minutes to Move around at certain customers for loading/unloading purposes.

So,To do it "By the Book" sorta Speak...........10 Hours of Typical Drive Highway Time is more realistic.

On Paper, We can "Wake things up" a Bit better,Maximize Drive Times- And Put realistic delays in better perspective.
