Morning Ladies n Gents,
BigPappy here coming to you live from Woodstock, GA. I will be attending school at ACE CDL school in Albany, GA starting on March 14th and any helpful advice would be greatly appreciated.
Anything from some of the best companies to start out working with as a newbie, to the do's and don'ts to highway etiquette.
I'm excited about my new career choice, and I know it is hard work. My father was a truck driver for the 1st 17yrs of my life, so I'm well aware of some of the things to expect.
Anyways, pleasure to meet everyone and happy trucking.![]()

Welcome to the forum BigPappy!
My advice for you while in school is listen closely to everything and be sure to ask questions. School is a great place to network with other students - you never know when you might need help.
Good luck! -

Thanks guys and gals,
I'm looking forward to it. I'm a great listener from my years of selling cars. I know it won't be easy but not affraid of hard work.
Any suggestions on reputable companies to work for? I've been reading a lot of post and taking each one with a grain of salt. Only thing I have been looking for is a pattern with certain companies.
Once again, thank you for your time and HAPPY TRUCKING!! -
Welcom Big Pappy. Selling cars huh???? Well at least youll know the BS that some of the recruiters will be giving ya....
