I am new to this owner operator ordeal and I am currently buying 2015 freightliner cascadia evo and it has the DD15 in it. Make a long story short I had a load going to South Carolina and my truck was running fine now that I picked a load up from South Carolina and it’s supposed to go to Arkansa but I am currently stuck at the petro in Atlanta ga well the issue I’m having is the truck idles fine and i can get the rpms up just fine but when I put it in gear and press down on the fuel petal then I loose air plus a lot of air pushing out of the passenger side and you can also here the whistling noise as well and the code that popped up on my dash was spn 102 fmi 18 so If anyone can tell me as to what I am suppose to do I would greatly appreciate it thank an advance

In other words there are a dozen reasons why most of the major trucking companies have decided to shorten their trade cycles from 5-6 years and 500-600k miles down to the present lower numbers. The trucks are ticking maintenance time bombs being dumped on the market to unsuspecting secondary customers who are going bankrupt trying to keep them running.
All the major OEM's have a remarketing organizations listed above to get rid of the units for the original customers. Select Trucks is owned by Daimler, Arrow is owned by Volvo.
Have fun. I will keep my 2000 Freightliner thank you.Bean Jr., Upinsmoke and Lumper Humper Thank this. -
No stude, you are just supposed to hand them the cash and they pick out the truck for you.

Check the boots, piping, in and out of the turbo for tightness, holes, basically you want no air escaping. Common places are around clamps. If you idle the truck, you should be able to go out there and feel around where the pipes, boots and clamps are, your feeling for air being pushed out. If you find one that’s super serious, it should be super obvious. -

This might be relevant. A couple of steps down it does mention checking for air leaks and restrictions too
